Quality Control
The quality management system implemented by Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd is in accordance with the requirements of MS ISO 9001:2008 standard. The system has been certified by SIRIM in 1994. The management of Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd continuously improve the system through training, management reviews, internal quality audits and Sirim surveillance audits.
The quality control of Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd is further enhanced through the MS 224:2005 Product certification scheme in Feb 2007 by Sirim. In order to maintain its certification, Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd is obliged to send representative number of tyre casings to the Tyre Testing laboratory at the Malaysian Rubber Board for endurance test. Thus the Product Certification to MS 224:2005 is an assurance that all retreaded tyre produced by Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd meet Malaysian Standard, quality and safety standards.
Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd achieved another milestone when it installed a sheorography tyre inspection machine in 2007. The machine, INTACT 1200-2 German state of the art technology to detect casing failures which are not visible to traditional visual inspection. All inspection information are stored in the computer for easy traceability.
